and received say 5-6 million cash after taxes.

What would you do?

My to do list:

Buy a 2002'ish F150 tow vehicle for 9-10k with low mileage(2wd ext cab)
Buy a 2000'ish Hurricane Sundeck Sport 20'ish for 12-14k in mint condition with an OB
Buy a House cash!
I would also probably buy a nice 4d luxury car for my around town driving.

And my favorite part:
Build a nice work shed in the back yard of said new house. Buy a 18-20' Starcraft project boat and go to town!

The rest gets put into mutual funds and other investments, for a nice life of easy living!

I would give $1 million to the church, $1 million each to my 3 daughters, and put the rest in the bank and live off the interest. That way I could buy a new truck, boat and house!

Oh and the very first thing I would do, is finish this boat to what I would consider 100%, which would include:
Nautolex marine vinyl flooring with aluminum trim just like EZ's!
Carpet the sides
Add 2nd gas tank to the back
New prop
New Hardware, cleats, rails, etc.
Marine Stereo/speakers
New steering wheel
Paint the engine cowling/lower and get new decals
Remove the airslot decals, and paint the whole hull

I think that's it on my short list. Most of that, minus the paint, should get done this year sometime.

First off I do play the lottery regularly, if for nothing else then to donate to some lucky persons future.

I think the first thing I would do is call my Employer and tell him I am retiring effective immediately

Next I would find a couple hundred acres in the middle of the Rockies and purchase it outright and then begin the process of having a nice 4 or 5 bedroom ranch style house on it with an emphasis on being very "off the grid"

after that I would probably look to invest wisely and begin working towards a degree in something that interests me for my future, something that would pay me $40,000-$50,000 a year probably Law Enforcement or something like that, Rewarding but nothing that will make me richer by any means. I just don't have the ability to sit on my butt and do nothing, even if I were to win $500 million I would still have to do something.

Haha, I become insanely productive when I'm on "vacation." I love it. I would pick up hobbies(e.g. restoring boats) to keep me busy. I'm only 27 and ready to retire! 13 years left(seriously!).

I play the lottery any time I cross the state line into FL or GA!

Got a ticket for mega millions and powerball in front of me right now!

First and foremost- STOP WORKING! lol. Then I would pay off all of my debt. Buy a nicer house for my mom, and help out my fiances sister and her parents. Go to flight school, buy a plane and a nice camp in the mountains of course with a lake. I would also start a shelter for homeless animals and do rescue flights when I could. Also invest a some so I dont have to work ever again. I'm sure there is more.

First thing I would do? Get the hell out of Baghdad. That's as far as I can get with it right now. I would figure out the rest with my wife as we were writing that pay-off check to the mortgage company. Heck...who am I kidding? It wouldn't have to be $5-6 mil! $100k would get me outta' here!

If I won that much money the firsrt thing I would do after cashing it in would be to go away for a few months until all the hoopla dies down and then return to purchace new a boat, truck, r/v and vacation place with another boat some where warm for the winters so I don't have to put up with all this $#!*^%* snow and cold weather :cool:

After that.....it wouldn't matter so much to me what happened next to the dough.

OK, I'll bite. If I had that kind of cash I'm not sure what I would do do stay happy. Naturally I would buy a nice house and car but where?? Of course I'd do a lot of fishing, but that's not expensive. I play lotto but it's more for security than wealth I guess. I really don't know what I'd do with all that cash.
