My boss at work found out I was restoring my boat and now hes all about trying to help me out. Little did I know he has restored a pair of boats himself. He obviously spent a lot of time building this site so I hope you guys can appreciate it. Hope he doesnt get mad I'm posting this lol. Hope its a good reference for some of you guys. It was for me!

Edit: Please take a look at rule #6 here: http://forums.iboats.com/forum-rules-guidelines/forum-rules-397820.html Thanks, QC

IMHO I think it is very informative. A lot of info and pics on one site.

I thought it was. I said people would appreciate it not it would be the go to resource for everything lol. I can't imagine how long it would take me to type that. I've learned quite a bit from him.

A nicely laid out website. Very professional looking.

I get a lot of info here on iboats, but I also go to thehulltruth and others in my searches for information.

Essentially everyone may have there own opinion on what site they would gather information from. That being said Iboats is been by far one of the best sites I have found. Not only can you read endlesss amounts of threads pertainting to any particular topic related to boats, but also you can ask questions yourself and recieve a response within hours to help troubleshoot your problems due to the popularity of the site. I would not replace my source of information from another website.

Perhaps though I will add that your site provides very detailed infromation and like one other Iboat member stated above it's all in one place and that means simplicity of finding your information.

I personally love reading hours and hours of restorations and others threads pertaining to issues everyone is having.

JNormV163: Don't take it personal! The Iboats site has some serious Salty Veterans and a lot of history to be had here.

Thank you for your link as it will be bookmarked and if I don't use it I have friends who may find it useful.

iboats is great. No doubt about it. But the site mentioned is not a competitor. They don't sell anything and their forum has not been used in over a year. The other site does provide information. Nothing wrong with gathering more information from any source. Members here use Google and are even directed to Google in some forum posts. Is Google spam-ish in iboats' eyes?

Re: If you're into boat restoration you'll appreciate this site.

OK guys . . . ahem . . .

1) We don't allow a first post to promote any personal site. We know many of you have project pages. That's cool, but the rule on the first post helps us with those who are here purely to Spam. I do not think this was one of those AT ALL.

2) However . . . pulling out the rulebook solved the initial problem, so I took the lazy way out.

3) If you think there is an issue, report the post. Please don't try and slug it out. That never works. Annnnd, we have a rule about that too, just read the whole thing in the link I left post #1.

4) Thank you gentlemen, and have a wonderful day :)

JNormV163, please understand what QC said. We, the Moderators, do not think you were spamming, but because of the rules of the "first post" we had to delete the link. If it was in the second post or beyond, it MIGHT have stayed. We welcome you to iboats and appreciate your contributions to this site so far. We hope you enjoy your time here and get to know the membership here ... there really are a great bunch of guys and gals on this site with a whole lot of information to share.

Sorry... my bad for the train wreck, I should've pointed out rule #6 in my first post to this thread.
