Ignition fuse

I have an ,06 bayliner 185 BR 3.0l and I started blowing ignition fuses. When I shift from forward or reverse to neutral, I blow the fuse. I think I even got it to blow playing with the shifter, with the key on, engine off. There's a shift interupter switch on the shifter. Maybe replace that? It's only about 40 bucks. I've seen a lot of people on these forums complain about this problem, but I can't find anyone that has found the solution.

Re: Ignition fuse

you have a dead short and the only thing I can think of thats electric when you shift is that switch!
But the switch could be good, inspect the wiring as that could be grounding you.
