I have an old 20r71s that has a strange plug (triangular 6 pins) in the back of the motor for remote start. I was wondering if A. I could get help finding the correct harness to go to the ignition, or B. can the harness on the motor be changed over to a newer red round one that I already have on the boat.

Not really a strange plug.------It is what was used 50 years ago.-------Nothing to stop you from making your own harness and bypassing this altogether.----Easy to do in my opinion.

You might try and google Basic Power Industries, they produce after market harnesses.

Pretty sure nymarine.ca has the harness, but his website seems to be down at the moment.
