1974 135HP Evinrude Starflite model no. 135483B. The motor always starts and idles ok on muffs, in water will start to miss / vibrate when put in gear, (compression 130, 128, 130, 120). Had a look at the ignition components, the stator assembly is starting to loose its guts, also all the ignition coils are cracked, I figure these items are probably the cause and need replacing first. Went looking for replacements parts, the stator is listed as either a 6 or 12amp? Can any one confirm which is the correct part for this motor?<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />dm.
