I have a Quicksilver controller - see attached pic (that one is not mine but mine looks almost exactly like that with the same problem)

I know I need an ignition switch

I want to access the old one to see exactly what I need to get as a replacement

This is where I am now

How do I get to it? I don't want to start disassembling the whole thing if I don't have to, i just want to remove the cover to get to the switch

I see a bunch of screws on the controller but which ones remove just the cover?

And does the throttle arm have to come off?

Thanks

Re: Ignition switch replacement

Unable to find yours, but most come apart the same way. The throttle button pops out and under it is a nut which is removed to disengage the handle. Here is an older explanation which may help

If you find anything on the above link do not reply to it, it's from 2011

Thanks for the link

Turns out on this one you have to remove the whole thing and it opens from the back

Glad you figured it out with the update. May help others with similar setup in the future.
