They're not all the same. Different manufacturers have their own (which are outsourced I'm sure). There are specific switches for outboard motors, but those can usually be used on a Sterndrive anyhow. You just can't put a Sterndriver switch on most outboards. And of course there are the switches made specifically for sterndrives.
