Ignition system

1985 3.0 liter mercruiser. Looking at the points and condenser, is there suppose to be a hole through one of the points?<br />Thanks

The answer is Still, Yes....<br />It depends on the manufacturer of the points, Or Who built the parts for Merc. OMC, Etc......
