Ignition Type on '89 88hp Rude

What type of ignition is on a '89 88spl rude?<br />Is it a CD4 6 amp or CD4 9-10 amp? How can I tell?<br />I want to trouble shoot and measure some voltages. Can I measure the peak voltages with an O-scope? I see the voltages are peak readings, I am in electronics and have acessability to an oscilliscope. Thanks.......

It probley is a CD4 6amp system, it is a 25 inch shaft engine which has 9 amp with water cooled regulator.
