just came across a 60s model sea horse 35 hp tried to fire it up tonight but only had fire on 1 plug sanded points but it didnt help can you get electronic ignition and do away with points?

Swap the ignition coils on this puppy and see if the problem follows. If the no spark follows the coil then just replace the coil. If your points are clean and set properly it should kick right off.

ihave a 58 35. they are the simplest, and easiest motors to work on. if the coils are discolored or cracked replace them.. for around $150, you can totally refurbish that engine. as long as it has good compression.
