We went to Boston last week for a national Remote Operated Vehicle competition. (the little underwater camera-robots) Highschools and colleges all over built one for it, it was pretty awesome. We never finished ours, and I personally blame it on our beaurocracy of a school. They were holding on to our funding with white knuckles. But anyway.. the competition was awesome, anything from PVC bilge pumps and duct tape to $20,000 units. Great fun. On the way there we stopped at niagara falls. Looked through the MIT museum, and some navy museum. Saw the USS constitution. Listened to and met and even talked to the guy that first flew an ROV into the Titanic. Some archeologist working on 3000 year old wrecksites... Even Marty Klein, of Klein sidescan sonar... Amazing people, very nice and extremely smart. It was really an awesome trip! On the way back we stopped at the henry ford museum another amazing place. Oh yeah, we also saw a screening of Ghosts of the abyss, the IMAX 3D Titanic movie (HOLY @#*%) that was breathtaking!Anyways I just thought I would share a little from my trip!Craig
