I'm trying to start this it hasent ran in years. It has good compression in both holes. The electric start needs to be rebuilt. So I'm trying to start it with the pull rope. It does start and runs for about 4-6 seconds. Here is the problems I'm having when I pump the primer bulb gas comes out the carb. No biggie the needle is stuck open. But the main thing as to why I'm confused is the top cyd. Is not getting any gas. The plug is bone dry. It's is only running on the bottom. So why am I getting no gas to the top cyd?

I have to say that doesn't make much sense. If the carb feeds both cylinders, and I am merely guessing here, I don't see how one cylinder gets fuel mixture and not the other. Especially since you stated that both cylinders have good compression (what is good compression by the way). Is there something obstructing the top cylinder either at the intake opening or even the exhaust opening? :noidea:

Oh, and buy a carb rebuild kit and fix that carb. You never know It could be your problem.

I don't know what happened but I got it going the carb still needs to be rebuilt but it does run again. Oh I checked the compression months ago. So I checked again today. It is 70psi on both holes

Have you checked the ignition? All, and I do mean All, 1959 OMC/Gale twin cylinder motors have bad coils unless they have already been replaced. If they are bad (cracked) you are wasting your time unless you do replace them.
