I'm confused :( Installing Engine this weekend..

Hey Everyone.. I was reading up on procedures to installing the engine back into my boat. I came across this diagram from one of Don's posts and wanted to know... What is the purpose of the spacer (G)??? It is sitting on top of the mount... What does it do?

This is used to apply the force against the motor mount bushing. If it was removed, then the force would be applied to the casting

Make sure the locknut is fully seated into the transom plate, it can wiggle out of place and get knocked into the bilge rather easily.
