I'm considering a 2006 Merc 60 hp four stroke engine. What do you think?

I just looked at a 22 foot pontoon boat with a 60 HP Merc 4 stroke engine with power trim /tilt. I was wondering if these motors are reliable compare to 2 stroke models or other comparable 4 strokers? Also, how does the 4 stroke compare to the 2 stroke in terms of power and torque, since this boat will hold 12 people. Do you think this is adequate power for a 22 footer? I'd appreciate any insights. Thanks!
