I recently got my lower unit seal kit and I can take any thing apart: now im in the process if putting it back together. My questions are simple i hope. Do I need to be making sure of these shims for the barings ect i havent moved them just hope that they wont need any more attention, is there a special technique that i need to do on the lower unit? I have a 1996 40 hp evinrude thank you Its fishing opner this weekend and need this running. way too many stories of opener weekend dont want to wipe out my bottom half thanks again
