I'm leaving California. Where to go??????

I have had it with this state. To many liberals and illegals. I get taxed to death but I receive nothing for my tax dollars. <br />I was wondering what is the best state to move to?<br />Affordable housing, good jobs, cheap power/gas.<br />I am also interested in tournament bass fishing and women.

I taped a taco to my antenna and headed down the street but within no time I had six low riders following me for some reason. I thought it would be best to ditch the taco and go back home.<br />My Brother lives in Idaho and he doesn't like it. He said the Indians are worse than the Mexicans because they won't work and act like whitey owes them everything.<br />Where is a good area in Texas to move to? I like the idea about good bass fishing and being near the ocean. I drove through Texas a couple times on I-40 and it was downright windy. Is the wind calmer near the ocean?<br />I also like Arkansas. Been there a couple times and it seemed real nice. It was great weather but I hear its usually bad. Is that generally the case?<br />I just need to get out of here while I can.<br />I'll be stuck in CA until next spring than I'm gone (I hope).

So far, Florida is much better than California, as we have zero income tax. Our other avenues for taxation have been capitalised upon completely tho.<br />If it were my move, it would be NC or TN Mountains.

It sounds like everybody is happy where they live except Californians.<br />It sounds like I need to travel to as many states as I can and find out for myself.<br />I thought about getting a cross country trucking job for a year and see whats this country has to offer.

If the politics change in California, it'll be just fine.<br /><br />It's a big state and Northern California is much different then the Southern Cal.<br /><br />Ninety mile visibility today. Mount Shasta is still snow covered. Lassen Peak out the livingroom window, has some left on it too.

Yeah I used to hunt the Lassen herd. I hunt the river bottom now. The rice fields and fruit orchards make atypical horns and one inch thick fat on thier rumps and 220 lb. bucks. <br /><br />Don't let misconceptions fool you. Among others, I have a Springfield .06 as the long range cannon. A .35Rem. Marlin as the saddle gun. <br />The 9mm and NAA22 are the legal carry (CCW).<br /><br />Like I said, Northern Cal. is a lot different then S.Cal.<br /><br />Everytime I get a income tax refund check I run out and buy a new gun.

South Dakota! I don't carry a house key, in fact, I'm not sure if I know where it even is. I've never locked my doors - wouldn't live somewhere I had to. My keys are in my pickup in the driveway. The only time I even pull them out of the ignition is when I go into Sioux Falls... Might be an oportunity for some rambunxious youths to do some offroading <br /><br />SD has no state income tax. I pay 600.00/year property tax on a home & property that would sell for 80k or so. That's another thing - 80k will get you a pretty nice home in these parts. You have to learn to wave at everyone you see on the roads though - thats customary, or they'll peg you as an outsider. Just bought gas yesteday and paid 1.52/gallon. Went out to eat last night for ribeye and spent 13 bux including the tip. The only "gangs" we have here, are my friends and I at the coffee shop. As for jobs, they're all over. You may not make what you're accustomed to, but your cost of living won't be either. Real nice schools too, with kids that are still grow up to be good people. SD is california - 80 years ago <br /><br />I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide, but you're right - I've been to California... no place to live.
