All of you wish us luck!!<br />We are off in search of the monsters!!<br />King Salmon fishing today. We can only keep hatchery fish (healed adipose fin clipping) Entire family is going.<br />Camp tonight and going after Barn Doors tomorrow.<br />Entire family is going after Halibut, we try to grow them big up here.<br />I will let you all know how we did on Sunday night!<br /><br />AK Chappy

Well,<br />It was a GREAT weekend. My middle son hooked into his first King Salmon ever!! If you have never seen combat fishing up here, you may not understand.<br />I yelled "FISH ON!! COMIN' DOWN!! IT'S A KID'S FIRST!!" and was amazed as fifty people all pulled in their lines and stepped out of the river!! Who says there are no nice people anymore! Unfortunately, the fish came off. Was still fun.<br />My youngest son also had two Kings on. None landed. <br />I had three on, landed one, a legal keeper. I let it go though, it was only about 18 lbs.<br />Saturday and Sunday we fished for Halibut. We limited out both days. 20 halibut for the freezer. I dropped off about 30 lbs to a friend and have well over 200 lbs left to process now.<br />I guess the fun is over and it is time to work the vacuum packer.<br />All smiles though!

I been waiting to hear about this one; thanks for the report. Combat fishing? sounds cool.
