...My 3 year old gave me a lesson/reminder...
I was sitting in the kitchen while my two sons played Wii (World War II Aces). My younger son yelled, "Daddy, I'm a JET!!!" I responded, "OK, that's great!" he said it again and then asked me to "come and see!!!" I went in to the living room and looked at him, and then the television. I saw that he was controlling a Royal Air Force fighter(a small "prop" fighter plane). I told him, "That's GREAT!!! ...But your plane has propellers... It's a "prop plane". I pointed out the propellers and told him that a jet has "jet engines, not propellers; but you're doing great!!!"
He looked me square in the eye, and said, "Daddy, if I pretend really hard... it will be a jet." He articulated every word individually, and with perfect clarity.
I was speechless... He looked back at the screen and continued playing.
It was a few seconds before I was finally able to say, "You are SO right!!!" I walked back to the kitchen with my head spinning!!!
We can learn, and "relearn" much from our children.
