Imepller vs Water Pump

How do you know which one to repair and when?

What is the difference between the two?

If I find a new water pump to replace the old one; does this also include replacing the impeller?

Impeller is the heart of the pump. Can't really tell without tearing down first.
Impeller is the normal maintenance part to replace.
If the housing or plate is worn or seals are damaged, the complete water pump kit should be used to renew everything.
