Best idea.....go buy a Seloc manual for your engine and never have to ask this question again. Really, I had never done one before either and I did mine last year. It's really a very simple process. Basically; Remove the prop, drain the grease, mark and disconnect the shift, remove all the bolts holding the lower end on including the hidden one under the exhaust cowling (which you remove) and drop the lower unit. Remove the top from the pump, remove the impellar, grease the pump and new impellar and install the new one, put the top back on the pump get help, lightly grease the drive shaft splines (only the splines and not the top of the shaft), and raise the lower unit back in place lining up the pump discharge and the drive shaft, re-install all the bolts including the hidden one, connect the shift, install the prop, refill with lube and you should be good to go.

Larry
