impeller help please

changing impeller and to install new one it looks like it will be extremely tight to the point where the rubber blades will be bent..is this correct? Alpha one outdrive from 86

The bent vanes is what makes it a pump. and yes, it's normal.
Just lube the impeller with some dish washing liquid and rotate the shaft clockwise and you push the what pump housing onto the impeller.
