Re: Impeller help

Can't you just spin the prop while watching the pump shaft, not the rotation and that should tell you what way the curve goes, or look at the old impeller.

Turn the vertical shaft clockwise while pushing down on the pump housing.

Re: Impeller help

You can use Permatex Aviation form A gasket 3H I think is the number, but you don't really need it on water pump gaskets. Makes a real mess to clean up for the next time.

Re: Impeller help

What about the bolts that hold the cover down? The manual says to use it on the gasket and these bolts (the perfect seal, that is)?

After searching high and low for perfect seal, I got the permatex aviation at O'reilly for around $4 bucks.

Re: Impeller help

bump, so we shouldnt use sealant on the gaskets. But

Should we use sealant on the small bolts the hold the housing down?
