Impeller housing OK

Is this housing OK. It looks oblong instead of round like I was expecting. Is this shape normal or do I need a new housing?

Bill,

Oblong is correct (that's how it works) pull the impeller out of the housing to make sure it's ok. I have a used but good impeller you can have if you want it.........the housing and other stuff are fairly cheap to replace if needed though....pick one up from NAPA for a spare. One of the cool things about the Cobra is the ability to replace the whole pump without removing/disassembling the drive.

In fact you can get the whole KIT here But.. NAPA is easier & they can get it in 1 day.
I sold the engine!!

Did the starter work ok?

It looks to be out of its normal shape replace or macth it up with a new one at the marina.
