Impeller installation which direction

I need to make sure I am puting the impeller in correctly can some one please tell me what way the fins rotate in the housing.

1990 4.3 omc cobra

In a merc..clockwise..and I know zip about your drive..but what way does the shaft turn? hmmm?

All impeller fins are fairly pliable..use some Dawn dish soap or lube so it doesnt have any friction on first fire

Clockwise on a OMC Cobra .
