impeller installation

is it possible to install to impeller the wrong way inside the housing causing it not to pump enough water to cool the engine.

you can start the rubber veins the wrong way.<br />The way I do it is to lube the houseing and ease it down on the impeller and put down pressure on it and twist the shaft in a right hand roation at the same time.
