63 15hp sea king (OMC). How tight a fit should the water tube be where it goes into the impeller housing? Is the grommer on the housing supposed to be soft rubber or hard plastic? My grommett is hard and the tube is a loose fit. I figure that might be the cause of my engine not cooling (water spraying out and not going up the tube?). I've confirmed there's no blockage upstream from the impeller - water comes out exhaust relief when you spray a hose right up the water tube but nothing happens when you run the motor. What do y'all think?
