Impeller operation Check 40 HP Lark IX

I'm in the process of repairing an old Lark IX 40 HP I recovered from behind an old Garage. We are just about completed and took it for a spin the other day. One thing that concerns me is the amount of water coming out the Tell tale. It seems to spit hot water and mostly steam. I thought a steady stream was the Norm ?<br /><br />Any suggestions ?

I have a lark 4 ,1960 and it dose the same thing. although if you haven't replaced the imp. for 3 or4 years it's a good bet it's on it's last legs. 30 or 40 $ is good price for head insurance! web pagenull
