Impeller replacement question

DO I have to remove the oil from the lower unit when dropping it to replace the impeller? I just changed the oil so I hate to do it again. On the other hand I dont want oil all over the driveway either.

No, you can do it with the oil in there. As long as the plugs are in it should not spill anywhere.
