Impeller replacement

[ALM80 1]

I have an 1989 Force 85hp engine and I am trying to replace the impeller. I removed all six bolts under the l/u, but can't seem to lower or remove the l/u. Any help regarding the removal of the l/u and to replace the impeller is greatly appreciate it. Thanks all.

There is a recent post here with someone with the same problem. Guess there's a seventh nut to be removed up in the exhaust area. Plus a linkage connector cotter pin.

do a search at the top of the page, for "85hp force lower unit removal" all the info you need will be there.

There Is a allen bolt under the exhaust snout, took me a while as well.
