Spring is slow arriving here in ontario Canada and I am going to pull the boat out of storage. I bought the boat last fall and it is a 1996 Starcraft with a 4.3LX with an aphla drive. The boat only has 35 hours on it and I am not sure if the impeller has ever been changed. I was wondering if anyone would have instructions on how the replace it and a good site were you can purchase a kit.

thanks

Re: Impeller replacment

It's an Allpha I Gen II drive, the instructions are in the OEM service manual.
Click Here for a link to that service manual for free.
Section 3B should cover the pump. Other sections will cover removal of the drive.

Those impellers should be replaced every 3 or 4 years, no matter how many hours are on the boat. Might want to check the ujoint bellows to. They don't last forever and it gets very expensive when they go bad.
