If you are shop testing an outboard inside in a 44 gallon garbage can and trying to set the idle in gear do not turn the wheel all the way to make it easier to get at the carb needle. This is especially true if your shop has no floor drains.

Wish I had read this in the manual before my prop tore a hole in the can.
