I’m working on a 1995 Four Winns 240 Horizon with a 5.8 liter Mercruiser engine. It has the OMC Cobra out drive (I believe it might be the SX). I need a bellows kit (exhaust, drive shaft, and o-rings). I also need both exhaust flappers (which would include the pins and grommets).

The outdrive serial # is T0790869 … PROD # is 3868158. (images attached)
Drive shaft bellow # is 3854127 (embossed on the bellow - image attached)
Exhaust bellow # is J-18332 - ? (Embossed on the bellow - image attached). Note: I put a question mark after the second dash because the hose clamp has distorted anything following it…

Other stuff -n- things..

The water intake pump impeller disintegrated and overheated the engine - which I replaced (and changed out the thermostat as well).

The flappers melted and fell to the bottom of the exhaust Y tube. I’m assuming this occurred when it overheated…
The boat is taking on a lot of water since then (the bilge pump kicks on every minute or so…).
I noticed that the drive shaft bellow had a lot of water in it when I removed it - but I could only find a very tiny tear/hole in it. Could either (or both) of these be causing/contributing to the boat taking on the water ?

I very much appreciate any feedback you can provide - and Thank you in advance !!!

Even a small hole will cause those problems; you probably should replace the gimble bearing & maybe the ujoints.
I\Os need a lot of regular maintenance…
Impeller every 2-3 years depending on use
Bellows on these can last as long as 10 years but some don’t due to storage (keeping the drive up will make the bellows more prone to tearing).
I have the earlier style Cobra & replaced the bellows 2x in 20 years of use. New impeller every 3 seasons
