I have aquired a 1960 15' Glastron Fireflight from family members that have no interest in it anymore. it needs a little tlc, however I need to complete the trailer repairs before attemping the boat.... sofar sogood as to stripping the trailer of all it's parts so that it can go to the sandblaster and powdercoating shop. The trailer's tag indicates "King Trailers" made in San Antonio, Tx. It has a single shock absorber inside a coil located in the middle measuring 11" compressed and 14" extended. I am having a difficult time locating this shock, and would appreciate any help finding a replacement. I'm going to try to attach a few pics... ThanksDSC00254.jpgDSC00254.jpgDSC00253.jpg

Re: In Need

Or try contacting Monroe through their website. Give them the overall length, compressed lenght, diameter and that it is threaded on both ends. No eye ring.

Re: In Need

Thanks for the help, after searching the net, including Monroe through auto parts store, I found a great site called shocks2springs.com. Mark was very helpful and is going to custom make the size I need.

Oh that is great. Nice to see someone out there willing to custom make those for you. Another possible option for you would be to convert that old system to a newer leaf spring setup. Good luck with the resto project.
