I'm in the Pacific Northwest where it doesn't get as cold as it does for many of you but it does get below freezing for short times. However, my boat's in the water and I use it periodically for fishing on the Columbia river during fall and winter. I haven't seen "in the water" winterizing advice where the engine is at or close to the waterline mentioned, when the boat is used periodically. What's the scoop?

Re: In water winterizing

Our boat stays in the water year around. The intake hose it looped up so it can it can be drained. Other than that, nothing is done differently than if the boat is out of the water.. Just cant service the out drives. Drain the block and manifolds, all hoses, power steering cooler(if you have one), etc.
