Ok so my motor has manual tilt and trim, i moved the pin out one spot to the third position. result by my self, +2mph wot, +5-10 seconds more plane. we spend about 50/50 amount of time at wot and a slow cruise. i know before i moved it when the family were on board. it seemed to plow through the water at wot. kind of feel the waves slow you down hard. but at the slow speed it wasn't up on plane and sit comfortably in the water. i figured that when i take it out with the family after moving it that it may ride better at wot, but may want to stay on plane at the lower speed. and may be dangerous. so my question what would you do? leave it or go back to the way it was? also what one would be more economical? and don't say it i would love to have power T/T, but cant find the right deal right now. thank you guys.

For me, I'd give up the 2 mph for quicker time on plane. But that's me - I'm used to being on plane in less than a boat length if I floor it.

As for handling, I'd suggest take it out and see how it does in both positions the same day, under the same conditions. Not sure what you mean when you say "may be dangerous". Go with the one that feels better to you.
