I will admit I may have an issue I am always scanning and checking online websites for old boats. I noticed that evidently people do not know the names called certain styles of boats. One I notice on a too regular basis is a boat called a jon boat, a jon boat is not pointed in front, other small craft are either v hulls or simply called a fishing boat.

Most boat makers call open, pointy bow boats "Utility boats".

How do you feel about seeing "tri-haul" and "john" boat listings? LOL

I won't even look at an ad without a picture, if you are trying to sell something put a picture in the ad, before I have to spend a tank of gas on driving to see it!

+1 on what all you guys are saying!
How about the ones that do take pictures, but don't even bother to clean out all the leaves and other debris that has accumulated over the many years it has existed unprotected.

Leaves, schmeaves - I like the ones with the Chatahoochee National Forest inside. On a trailor worth more than the asking price, of course.

We can't forget the infamous "Ran last time out" with rego stickers that expired before the end of the last century.

The one that is see a lot is Mercruiser used as a generic term for any I/O engine/drive setup. Or an ad that says just needs XXXX. If that is all it needs why didn't you fix it first?

Sometimes you hear that engines won't "turn over". I think that is a good thing

My boat turned over on the road before I bought it. That was not a good thing.

Deep V. Love that one. Every Lund, Alumacraft flat bottom becomes a Deep V because it has a high freeboard and a V bow.
