Have a 2000 Sport Craft 252 Inboard with a 5.7 engine. Owned the boat 1 month and had to add half conatiner of fluid to system. Fluid goes in the steering column and the actuator is just above the rudder and has fluid all around it. The Merc book covers engine mounted power steering but not this one. Is there an o ring, fitting, or hose that could be allowing the fliud out or does this mean the actuator (or whatever it's called) is bad? Also need a diagram of this system if you know where to get one. Thanks, JEC

Are you sure it is "power" steering and not just manual hydraulic steering? Is there a power steering pump on the engine? Can you come up with a brand name or other ID? How about a picture?

It is not mounted on the engine so I guess that makes it hyd steering. I am in Alabama and the boat is in PC FL. I'm going today and I'll get a pic. The name of the servo is Sea something. JEC
