Yesterday, I took the boat out at the local ramp and everything was fine when I launch the boat in the morning. When we return in the evening is when this inconsiderate fool thing happens.

I dock the boat and got out to retreive the pickup and trailer to load the boat. A black pickup with trailer wisked by and qucikly reverse and took up the ramp. I waited for him to launch the boat and it took him about 10 minutes to launch. While still at the ramp his cell phone rang and he proceed to talk on the phone and was holding everyone up that is waiting to retreive or to launch thier boat. He eventually move and I got the spot to retreive my boat.

The fellow was now in his boat and was trying to start his outboard. Took him about 10 minutes to start the outboard, nearly drain his battery down. I mean while, has to wait for him to get moving before I can move my boat to the trailer. After starting his boat, his friend push him off and jumped on to the boat but his friend forget to pick up his truck keys that he left on the dock. :D :D I tried to called him but he ignore me and I left the key on the dock. I got the my boat out and was putting equipments away when my wife said to me that she is going to pick the key up and turn it in to the local police station.

We left the keys with the local police and if that dude has any sense he would call the police if anyone turn in the key if not his big loss. Sometime revenge comes in unexpected events :D :D and I had mine then.

You did the right thing. I mean...who knows...someone might have stolen the guy's truck or something. Taking the keys to the local police is just what to do. I'm just sure the guy will think of that when he gets back to shore. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Very nice!

Re: Inconsiderate

Last early fall we were getting everything battened down on the boat for the trip home. This guy come walking up to me and ask if he could use my cell phone. He had let his buddy out so he could start the truck and warm himself up, it was about 55 with light rain that day and getting colder, they just had on tee shirts, no jackets. His buddy had left the truck running, got out and locked the doors with the keys in the ignition. Trying to help a fellow boater I handed him my phone to call his Mom so she should bring an extra set of keys to the ramp. I could tell his Mom was having trouble understanding how to get to the ramp. So this dipsh*t starts yelling at the top of his lungs and cussing at his Mom  because she couldn’t understand how to get there. I felt like grabbing the my phone and punching his lights out, but I had "The Crew" with me and had to hold back. After he was done with the call I got my phone from the jerk and left him standing in the rain just as it started to rain harder and was starting to get dark. I hope his Mom never found the place, and he had to set in the back of his truck all night in the rain, I hope maybe his boat sank at the ramp. I can only hope. :D

Heck, I'd have offered him a hammer and told him to break his side window after that. Cussing at your mother is a sign of a butthead. My Daddy taught me that.

If I was his Mom, I wouldn't even bother. Let the truck run out of gas and let the two buttheads freeze.
