What steps can I take to increase the HP of my 1983 3.8 OMC?

If you have a 2BBL carb, -
4 BBL and intake. Instant 15HP.
The one and only upgrade for the 3.8 that makes any sense whatsoever.
In a smallish boat (under 18') it will be quite noticeable.

I forgot I posted this question, sorry.

This engine is in a 21.5 Tri-Hull w/ a cabin. It weighs ~5000 empty.

I will look into the 4bbl and manifold. That's an easy upgrade. May be relatively inexpensive as well as these are pretty common engines.
