Inexpensive Pin Wrench for Volvo Trim Cylinders?

Last fall I put a swim platform on our boat but still need to take the trim cylinder end caps apart to install some limiters that came with the platform.
I'm sure there is a Volvo tool for this but has anyone found an inexpensive pin wrench that will work?

Links appreciated.

When I did my cylinder caps, I googled 1.5 inch open face pin spanner wrench. Don't rember the site but I paid $7.00 or so and it works far better than the cheap adjustable pin wrench I got from Harbor Freight Tools.

Didn't find a lot when I searched, but will this work?

Best I can tell the holes on my VP caps are 1/4" so these pins are a bit smaller at 7/32"
I'll have to check and see if the center to center on my caps is 1.5", if it is then I guess the span of the pins on this wrench should work.

Thanks

That is the same style I have. Don't know what size my pins are and since I'm deployed on one of our fine Carriers at the moment I can't go check. I did see one on e-bay also. My end caps we not very tight but the cheap adjustable style mentioned I had would'nt stay in and the pins were to small. What you are looking at is what I eventually got and removing those caps is now a snap.

use a drill bit to determine size of holes in cap. the local sears used to stock armstrong spanners for about $20. don't even waste your time with harbor frieght or similar. they will flex under torque and ruin the holes as often as not.
