Looking for advice...We are wanting to buy a small boat that can serve as a dingy to our 30' Carver as well as a boat to take with us on camping trips. We have a Class A Motorhome and tow a Jeep Wrangler. Is an inflatable the answer? Have heard about Tote-A-Boat (a folding boat), Pelican (a sturdy plastic), etc. Must be lightweight enough to mount on the RV..Thanks

Re: Inflatable Boat & Dingy

Hi there Gullfriend, welcome to iboats. I am a huge fan of inflatable boats and there are many kinds to choose from. They are much more stable and seaworthy than the other boats you speak of, and they have a higher weight capacity. Avon, Hurricaine, Achilles, are some of the higher end boats to look at. SeaEagle, Zodiak, and Sevylor are some less expensive models. You can get inflatables with or without a rigid, i.e. fiberglass, hull. The rigid models of course cannot be collapsed. Have fun looking and good luck.
