I have a PVC inflatable and was wondering if anyone knows if I can use Krylon spray paint to paint on the reg numbers http://www.krylon.com/main/product_...lid=10&productid=1751&content=product_details ? Or if not/also if it is ok to use a Sharpie marker? I have stencils and little jar of paint that came with the numbers but dont want to use a paint brush if I can help it. Any suggestions on a common type or brand of paint I should use would be helpful.
Thanks All

Re: Inflatable Paint options

My uncle has a small Avon inflatable boat that he spray painted the registration #'s onto with regular spray paint. It sits out in the sun all summer and the numbers are pretty much faded off. As long as the boat is fully inflated and the material is clean then you will have no trouble painting the #'s on. Decals might be a better idea if you're not sure how long you plan on keeping the boat b/c they will come off a lot easier.

registration numbers stay on the boat forever, unless reregistered i another state. paint them on. decals will distort when deflated. i also mounted the renewable sticker on the engine cowl, since it would distort, when deflated.

Re: Inflatable Paint options

I am planning on painting the numbers on and I am more consigned about the paint reacting with the boat material than anything else. Will spray paint for plastic lower the life of the boat material that it is applied to? I understand the flexibility requirements but want to know what the best paint for the boat is chemical wise?
Thanks
