I have seen a few sites now offering inflatable rollers for launching boats off beaches.
Has anybody tried them? Are they any good?
The pictures are all of them being used on GRP boats with a well defined keel - how would they work for my inflatable?
All advice / experiences gratefully received!

Yes I have used them on sand beaches along the US east coast. You need to keep away from oyster shells and other sharp stuff. I rolled my 500 lb. sailboat with 2 10 " inflatable rollers. The only place I found them was England and surprisingly my hometown. Try Abbott's Boat Works Sarnia Ontario. They sell different sizes and ship everywhere.

Re: Inflatable rollers

Thanks for the reply.
I'm in the UK, so England's just fine. I guess we need them more because we can't afford the fuel to run vehicles big enough for difficult beach launches.
Anybody used them with an inflatable?
