Info on oil

I just bought a 2000 25hp honda. What is the best oil to use? I live in Fl. Is synthetic oil safe?

I don't think you want to use synthetic on outboards, just my opinion. If you change the often, it gets rather expensive, even on large O/B's.

Thank you. Besides the cost will it hurt motor in any way? Will it make internal parts wear better?

I don't think it will help and it will not mix well with gas that may get by the rings at slow idling. My owners manual on Honda says not to use it and so does the master techs. I have also heard that it can cause cooling problem, I have no idea how?
