Hi to all,

First went to start my '81 70hp John and when I turned the key NOTHING. Check bat, ok ptt up and down ok. Bat. power to start solinoid ok. I unhooked the large red plug under engine cover than repluged, motor started. Apparent slightly loose conn. Is there any way to tighten the conn.? Say slightly bending (oblonging) the pins with diagnals pliers? Opinion please.

The other topic, seafoam. My engine runs very good and I was wondering if I should try seafoam. I only recently bought and installed motor. I hadn't taken it for my maiden voyage yet. But if I should try the seafoam I will bring some mixed in a smaller gas can.

And if so what is the proper procedure to use seafoam.

Thanks,
Beck

Run SeaFoam in every tank of fuel to keep the fuel system clean. It's great stuff.

There's a little 20 amp fuse near the start solenoid. Get another and tape it near the fuse holder for a spare. It's an AGA-20. Make sure those battery wingnuts are pliers-tight. It's better to make sure the main connector is fully engaged than to chance distorting the pins.
