INFO/PICTURE of '66 Mercury 35HP OB???

friends,

i've fallen heir to a good-running 1966 Mercury 35HP short-shaft OB, that is missing the "faceplate" off the front of the motor (lost in the last decade or two!) AND that is quite suitable to power a tin STARCRAFT!

inasmuch as i've never seen that particuliar model (complete), i need to know what to look for at "old motor meets", sales, etc.

does anyone here HAVE a PICTURE of such a faceplate and/or know where i can find a good picture of one on the www?

your help would be much appreciated.

NOTE: i would happily buy a faceplate from a member, who has a suitable dead/parts motor. should you have one, please PM me.

Go to AOMCI.org and post a free want-ad on Webvertize. Someone may have one. I have good luck finding old/obscure parts there.

That's actually a face off a Merc 400 45hp, 1960 or 1961 - I guess the 35's thru 45's are all about the same.

fwiw, your OB looks NOTHING like mine - mine is virtually ALL BLACK with the exception of "the writing".

evidently 'the cosmetics" radically changed about 1963-64.
