Howdy, Johnson50.

Your engine is a 1974.

"Powershift" means that you have an electric or electric/hydraulic shifting gearcase.

"Loop charged" means that the engine is scavenged by looping the charge in the cylinder rather than deflecting it with a piston crown to cross the cylinder. Loop charging is superior to "cross flow" charging except in small engines running at low speeds.

The OMC twin and triple cylinder "loopers" are excellent engines that were ahead of their time when introduced in the 60s and 70s.

The OMC electric and electro-hydraulic gearcases can be difficult to maintain and were abandoned after only a few years.

Good luck. :)
