Anyone with backround or information on these boats? I think they ceased making them @ early 80's. Thanks,
Rocks

Re: Information on Seastar Boats

I had a 15' trihull Seastar for about a year--up until a couple months ago, actually. Wasn't real fast (50HP Johnson) but it was stable and seemed well built--no soft floors, etc. Didn't take on any water and it operated well in shallow water down to about 16 inches, when the prop started churning mud. Had good room for a 15 (2 seats forward of the windscreen, two back-to back seats, and two more against the stern, although i never took more than one other person (and a dog or two) aboard. I bought a 17 foot v-hull with a 115 Merc so I gave the Seastar to a friend who lives near Mobile Bay. He's getting some use out of it now. I'm not an expert but at least I know what boat you're talking about--can I be any help?
Regards, Rich
