Found a company that offers infrared imaging of all kinds of stuff, they were offering the service to image a boat you might buy, claiming they could see water/fuel leaks or other hull damage.
You could pull you boat down to your loacl fire hall and get them to look at it through their infrared camera for probably a six pack of beer. They use theirs to find hot spots, but it works the same.
