inline 6 115 merc 18ft rabolo wont plane off

ok guys i know i have been asking alot of questions but i need your help again <br />merc inline 6 115 1979 great commpression runs great ,idiols great ,i cant seem to get boat on plane i have a merc 13/1/4 x 17inch stainless on it the motor is mounted where it is suppose to be at the right height ,i cant seem to get up to above 2000 rpms under a load , but ok when not in gear i was wondering what i should check first gas is all good :

Assuming the timing and synch is all good, you might wanna check the settings on the idle needles (set them while trolling)or even clean the carbs in case the main jets are gunked up.<br /><br />It's no trick to get an inline to spin over 2k in neutral, but you should never exceed 2k without a load on it.<br /><br />-W

As an easy long shot, ohm out the high speed stator winding as per the manual - stranger things have happened.<br /><br />-W
